Cape Town Meets Melbourne with Chef Kyle Stanbridge

From the Mother City, Cape Town, South Africa, Chef Kyle Stanbridge has expressed a deep interest in food from a young age. From holidays with his grandparents in the kitchen of their cafés, to his journey to Melbourne to complete his culinary studies, and beyond!

Working in a variety of establishments such as, The Ostrich & The Egg, the only South African focused eatery in Melbourne, right through to traditional Italian joints, bistros and cafés.

Along the way, Kyle was fortunate enough to assist at the World’s Longest Lunch 2018 in Geelong, and competed at The Victorian State Final 2019 AUS-TAFE Culinary Trophy where he was awarded a silver medal.
